Since i was a young girl, my head has been in the clouds. Honestly, i'm not afraid to admit that i like it up there. It's by no coincidence then that they are now the subject of my art. In a way i feel that i have inherited my mother's love of nature and the way in which it is illuminated. After years of family trips to vast and remote landscapes for her work as a fine art photographer, i eventually developed my own appreciation for nature, it's power, and it's complexity. A far-off storm on a western desert plane, the hot orange light of the sun setting over the Sahara desert, or the monsoon rains of Indonesia. All of these images prevail in my memory and fuel my creations. The sky is endless. It is a canvas for creation and destruction. The possiblilities for expressing all that lies within its compass are limitless.
